Real Theater. Really Funny Stories. For Real People.

Bard and Fool Theater
is excited to announce their Kentucky Derby Pre-Party on Saturday, May 2, 2015 from 2pm to 5 pm at The Pony Inn located at 1638 Belmont, Chicago, at the intersection of Lincoln and Ashland.

Grab your big hat and join Bard and Fool Theater Group to cheer on your favorite horse for the 2015 Kentucky Derby.  Enjoy mint juleps (of course), appetizers, and domestic beers and call drinks, all of which are included in your ticket price. Watch the race on one of The Pony Inn’s numerous large flat screen TVs under a retractable skylight. You are encouraged to stick around afterwards to watch the big race at around 5:24 pm and then spend the rest of your evening celebrating with other Derby fans.

Feel free to enter our own mini Kentucky Derby Race where you can win cash if you correctly pick the right horse to win. You can also enter our raffle for numerous prizes including tickets to Blue Man Group, Theater Tickets, and gift certificates among many other prizes.

We are also having a contest for the best Derby hat so be sure to dress up for a Day At The Races. While it’s not necessary to dress up for the event, it is highly encouraged.

Doors will open 30 minutes before the party starts, so get there early to get a good table.

Tickets can be purchased in advance for $35 through The Pony Inn
or at the door for $40. That’s less than $10 an hour, way less than you would normally spend on an evening out. Proceeds from the evening will be used towards mounting Bard and Fool’s upcoming show “The Lives of Saints” by David Ives set for later this year.
